Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Network Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing operational support for our global network environment.

The successful candidate will provide proactive and reactive support for all network hardware, software, and communication links. They will work closely with project managers and use network management systems to document and implement requests.

Responsibilities include responding to ticket requests and incident notifications, and resolving issues within service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide support to project managers based on requirements to integrate a network setup.
  2. Develop solutions to complex problems, with well-planned documentation.
  3. Complete preventative maintenance activities, such as code updates & equipment upgrades.
  4. Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
  5. Respond to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel, and outside vendors to provide technical assistance and support.
  6. Ensure security and audit compliance.
  7. Perform operational-related moves, adds, changes, and deletes (MACD).
  8. Adhere to operational standards.
  9. Comply with engineering design standards and established operational processes.
  10. Participate in the development & maintenance of operational documentation, to include updating engineering documentation changes due to operational changes, escalation procedures, & vendor contracts.
  11. Conduct root cause analysis for network events.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 5+ years of extensive experience in the support of Cisco networking technologies.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Practical technical knowledge on CISCO networking technologies.
  • ITIL v3.0 or v4.0 preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced working environment.
  • High-level technology problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stand and sit for sustained periods of time, at least 25%.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

The position involves mostly working from home (RTO as needed) with a shifting schedule.
