Job Title: Software Asset Management Analyst I

This role involves optimizing and managing software assets for a dynamic organization. The multifaceted position requires coordinating software requests, liaising with vendors, ensuring compliance, and contributing to cost-saving initiatives.

The analyst will collaborate closely with internal teams and external vendors to support the complete software asset management lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining software licensing records by documenting software entitlements, conducting research, and generating insightful reports.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation of all software purchase requests and conveying completed entitlement-related records to the SAM Entitlements team.
  • Handling email inquiries related to software management activities, providing timely and responsive support.
  • Managing the FreshService ticketing system, updating status changes, and responding promptly to software requests.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand and meet software needs and interacting with end users to collect necessary information for software procurement.
  • Interacting with vendors to obtain quotes, ensuring cost-effectiveness, compatibility, and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Generating purchase requisitions in the Oracle financial system, accurately capturing requirements and documenting in the system.

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree.
  • Knowledge of software asset management practices.
  • Proficiency in ticketing systems like FreshService and financial systems like Oracle.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
