We are currently seeking a skilled AR Collections Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing revenue cycles, ensuring timely collections, and providing excellent customer service.

Job Description

As an AR Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable (AR) collections processes efficiently and effectively. This includes reviewing and following up on outstanding accounts receivable balances, identifying and resolving billing discrepancies, and communicating with patients, insurance companies, and internal stakeholders to address payment issues and resolve outstanding balances.

  • Manage Accounts Receivable: Oversee the entire AR process from initial contact to final resolution.
  • Review and Follow Up: Regularly review and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable balances to ensure timely collection.
  • Identify and Resolve Discrepancies: Identify and resolve billing discrepancies and discrepancies in payment postings to prevent delays in reimbursement.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and internal stakeholders to address payment issues and resolve outstanding balances.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience as an AR Collections Specialist or similar role in the healthcare industry.
  • Skills: Proficiency in using EMR systems, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
