Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing revenue cycles and ensuring timely collections.

This includes managing accounts receivable processes efficiently, reviewing outstanding balances, identifying and resolving billing discrepancies, communicating with patients and stakeholders, and utilizing the Athena Health EMR system to track accounts receivable activities.

Additionally, this role requires analyzing AR aging reports, prioritizing collection efforts based on delinquency levels, and collaborating with the billing and coding team to ensure accurate and timely claims submission.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an AR Collections Specialist or similar role in the healthcare industry.
  • Proficiency in using Athena Health EMR system is required.
  • Strong understanding of medical billing and insurance claims processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare AR collections.
