Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced professional to manage accounts payable tasks and implement controls.
Responsibilities:
- Manage company accounts payable tasks within the procure-to-pay process.
- Verify vendor information, establish new vendors as needed, and ensure W-9's are on file.
- Maintain vendor relationships and resolve questions in a timely manner.
- Assist with annual 1099 statement processing and support project code assignment for accurate financial coding.
- Collaborate with engineers, purchasers, and accounting staff to assign project codes and maintain accurate general ledger coding.
- Update and maintain the Accounts Payable Policy and narrative to ensure compliance with established internal controls.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations of various G/L accounts as required.
- Support variance expense analysis and communicate with department managers to understand spending activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience.
- Basic understanding of US GAAP principles.
- Minimum 1-3 years of AP and/or General Ledger accounting experience.
- Proficiency in month-end processes.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to assist with assorted tasks as needed.
- Proficient in MS Office, including Excel and Word.
- Ability to work standard US business hours.
Preferred Skills:
- Coupa experience.
- NetSuite procure-to-pay process expertise.
