We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and partnerships across Southeast Asia, focusing on promoting and expanding our portfolio of language certification services.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will establish relationships with key decision makers of training organizations, universities, language schools, etc. You will be responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities for our language certification services through direct sales and channel partnerships. Additionally, you will build and manage a strong pipeline of leads and key accounts, forge and nurture high-impact relationships with senior decision-makers in language education and assessment, develop go-to-market strategies tailored to each country's unique language education landscape, ensure market penetration and brand awareness of our certifications in both public and private sectors, and participate in trade shows, language education events, and strategic forums across the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute business development plans to drive growth and revenue across Southeast Asia
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers in the language education and assessment industry
  • Brief and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective solutions to meet customer needs
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of the language learning and assessment landscape in Southeast Asia, including key stakeholders, regulatory environments, and market trends
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (Postgraduate qualification is a plus)
  • 10+ years' experience in business development, ideally in the language testing, education, EdTech, or certification sectors
  • Proven success in consultative B2B sales and partnership development
  • Deep understanding of the language learning and assessment landscape in Southeast Asia, including key stakeholders, regulatory environments, and market trends
  • Experience in working across diverse cultural contexts and multi-country portfolios
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Fluency in English (C2 level); proficiency in any major Southeast Asian language is a plus
  • Tech-savvy, with familiarity in CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics)
