Accounting Specialist

As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial records. This includes managing accounts payable activities, maintaining the general ledger, and establishing standardized financial workflows and internal controls.

You will also contribute to month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, you will provide detailed budget-to-actual analyses and collaborate with stakeholders to address discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounts payable activities and maintain accurate and timely financial records.
  • Establish and implement standardized financial workflows, processes, and internal controls.
  • Contribute to month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and preparation of financial reports.
  • Provide detailed budget-to-actual analyses and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations and in-depth reviews of balance sheet and income statement accounts.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP is essential; CPA certification is a plus.
  • Experience in managing end-to-end accounting activities and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote setup.
