We are seeking a skilled and ambitious individual to join our team as a QA Automation Engineer II.

As a QA Automation Engineer II, you will be responsible for applying your expertise in automation frameworks and best practices to develop and implement robust test automation solutions. You will work independently within our established automation framework to tackle challenging yet well-defined automation tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test Planning and Strategy: Lead the planning of testing strategies, ensuring comprehensive coverage and alignment with project goals.
  • Test Case Development: Independently design, develop, and implement automated test strategies and test cases with minimal supervision.
  • Debugging: Use debugging techniques to identify root causes of complex issues uncovered through automated testing.
  • Bug Reporting: Accurately document bugs with essential details, using the bug tracking system effectively.
  • Version Control (Git): Manage and track changes in code repositories efficiently.
  • Programming Languages: Utilize intermediate to advanced knowledge of programming languages (JavaScript, Java, Python, TypeScript) to write test scripts or understand code for test automation.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain high attention to detail to identify even minor issues.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Analyze root causes of defects found during testing and make recommendations to prevent similar problems in the future.
  • Communication Skills: Report issues effectively and collaborate with the development team.
  • Automation Strategy: Identify opportunities for automation within assigned testing areas, propose enhancements to the overall automation strategy, and stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in automation testing tools and best practices.
Requirements
  • 3-4 Years of Experience: In software testing or a related field, with a strong background in test automation.
  • Testing Principles: Demonstrates a thorough understanding of core testing principles and methodologies.
  • Automated Testing: Experience with automated testing for web, mobile, and API applications.
  • Programming Skills: Possesses strong programming skills in scripting languages relevant to test automation (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java).
  • Playwright and BDD: Experience using Playwright with BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) as testing framework.
  • Independent Work: Has a proven track record of independently designing, developing, and maintaining effective test automation scripts.
  • Analytical Thinking: Is a strong analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Effective Communication: Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical audiences.
