About Our Role

As a Junior Data Analyst, you will play a crucial part in our data team, working closely with senior analysts to complete tasks and provide research support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough desk research and analysis on companies' management of environmental and social risks, ensuring compliance with international norms.
  • Stay up-to-date with environmental, social, and governance trends and issues, developing specific knowledge about dominant industry concerns.
  • Respond promptly to internal and client queries, verifying that captured data aligns with established methodology and policy guidelines.
  • Adhere to quality standards in collecting and maintaining accurate data, guaranteeing efficient turnaround times for work assignments.
  • Escalate complex data interpretation issues, where necessary.
  • Analyze root causes when identifying data discrepancies.
  • Update performance metrics documents as needed.
  • Participate actively in various committees and projects beyond core responsibilities.
  • Maintain organized paper and electronic files according to ISS and client retention policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Geology, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, or International Studies.
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Excellent reading comprehension and English language skills in both written and oral formats.
  • Background in data collection, analysis, or ESG and business research would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications.
  • Outstanding English communication (oral and written) and reading comprehension skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines and adapt quickly to new concepts and processes.
