Research Associate (SDGs)

Job Overview

This role is part of our SDGA research team in Manila. The successful candidate will be responsible for the collection and analysis, including estimations and calculations, of revenue data from corporate disclosures to identify the impact of companies' products and services portfolios on sustainable development.

This data feeds our broad suite of ESG solutions, including our market-leading Corporate Rating.

The successful candidate will work both independently as well as collaboratively with the local team and colleagues across our global offices.

Key responsibilities include performing revenue-based research, collecting and interpreting data, justifying and documenting conclusions, attending to internal/client queries and requests, and participating in working committees and projects.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Management, Sustainability, Climate Science, Social Sciences, Business & Economics, Business Analytics, Life science or related fields
  • 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in a sustainability-related field, financial services, ESG research/sustainable finance/credit ratings, thinktanks focused on sustainability, or academic research institutes
  • Solid knowledge of UN SDGs
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and oral
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to process large amounts of data quickly
  • Strong passion for ESG, responsible investment, sustainability
  • Ability to prioritize and work under tight deadlines
  • Fast learner able to master new concepts, theories, ideas and processes
