Community Corrections offers a career opportunity to make a difference in your community as a Senior Case Manager (Rural and Remote) with evidence-informed case management and individualised support.
This role ensures high community safety through case management of adults subject to community orders, acting according to assessed risk and need and maintaining standards of assessment practices for effective supervision and rehabilitation of individuals.
Key Responsibilities- Negotiation and conflict resolution skills for liaising with stakeholders at all levels, negotiating service delivery, priorities and resources.
- Ability to work self-sufficiently, coping with pace, complexity and multi-tasking in the operating environment.
- Demonstrated experience working within legislative frameworks that underpin core service delivery areas.
- Building and managing ongoing relationships with various stakeholders.
- Interpersonal skills for negotiating with stakeholders on sensitive issues.
- Developed written and oral communication skills.
- A valid Australian driver's licence is mandatory for travel across locations.
- Flexibility to work outside normal hours, travel to other locations or temporarily work from alternate locations may be required.
- Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (Community) must be completed within 12 months of commencing employment and certification achieved within 18 months.
