We are seeking a seasoned benefits administration professional to oversee the management and administration of employee group benefits programs. This role involves ensuring compliance with benefit plan regulations, providing guidance on benefit options, and facilitating communication related to group benefits.
Key Responsibilities- Administer all aspects of group benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Manage the enrollment process for new hires, qualifying events, and open enrollment periods, ensuring accurate and timely processing of benefit elections and changes.
- Communicate group benefits options, changes, and updates to employees through various channels, including employee meetings, email communications, and online portals.
- Provide expert guidance and assistance to employees regarding benefit options, eligibility criteria, coverage details, and enrollment procedures.
- Act as the primary point of contact for benefit vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators.
- Coordinate with insurance carriers and providers to resolve issues, facilitate claims processing, and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing group benefits programs, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and COBRA.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee benefits elections, changes, and terminations in the HRIS or benefits administration system.
- Generate reports and analyze data to monitor benefit utilization, costs, and trends.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in benefits administration, HR operations, or related roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Thorough understanding of group benefits programs, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in benefits administration software, HRIS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial transactions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and interact with vendors and stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
