Job Overview

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Document new patient intake and referral information, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
  • Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling for patients and healthcare providers, utilizing efficient scheduling techniques.
  • Input patient information, medical records, and billing data into electronic health record systems, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist with processing insurance claims, verifying patient insurance information, and handling billing inquiries and concerns, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Respond to incoming patient inquiries, providing information and directing them to the appropriate healthcare professional, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Assist in analyzing healthcare data, preparing reports, and maintaining records, utilizing data analysis tools and software.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, privacy laws, and maintenance of patient confidentiality, upholding the highest standards of integrity.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in medical fields or pharmaceutical-related industry, with a strong foundation in medical terminology and practices.
  • At least 1 year experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant, with a proven track record of success in managing patient records and billing information.
  • Excellent English communication skills (C1 level), with the ability to articulate complex medical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Solid understanding of medical terminologies and practices, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
  • Proficient in EHR/EMR systems, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Understanding of healthcare privacy regulations, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity.
