Medical Documentation Specialist

Magic is a leading multi-location outpatient physical therapy practice in the U.S. specializing in orthopedics sports and manual therapy.
We combine hands-on treatment with individualized exercise programs to help patients recover from injuries manage pain and return to active lifestyles.
Key Responsibilities:- A medical scribe's primary role is to accurately document patient encounters directly into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) during or immediately after visits.
- Clinical correspondence & records: Prepare and edit patient notes visit summaries progress reports and letters to referring physicians.
- Billing & insurance support: Assist with documentation needed for medical necessity insurance authorization and claims support.
- Data quality timeliness & compliance: Perform accuracy checks for patient identifiers visit details and plan of care before submission.
- Collaboration & communication: Communicate clearly with U.S.-based providers and admin teams during working hours.
- Proven experience as a medical scribe medical virtual assistant or healthcare documentation specialist.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Typing speed of at least 45 WPM with high accuracy.
- Working knowledge of basic medical terminology.
- Proficiency with EHR documentation and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently in a focused distraction-free environment.
