Role Summary
Responsible for managing, securing, and maintaining on-premise and cloud-based Windows client/server environments, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance of the company's IT infrastructure. The role covers network configuration, security, troubleshooting, maintenance, and user support for both operational and business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities
1. System & Server Administration
Manage and maintain on-premise and cloud-based Windows client and server systems.

Configure, install, and integrate new hardware and software systems or components.

Perform system backups and ensure data recovery readiness.

Monitor industry sources for patches, updates, and security advisories.

2. Network Configuration & Maintenance
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN routers, switches, wireless equipment, and related networking hardware.

Install, repair, and maintain network cabling, including fiber optic lines.

Evaluate network performance data to ensure availability, speed, and reliability.

Configure and define parameters for network installations and upgrades.

3. Network Security
Configure security settings and access permissions for users and groups.

Monitor, analyze, and report security breaches or attempted intrusions.

Install and maintain firewall and security software.

Research and recommend security solutions to meet operational needs.

4. Troubleshooting & User Support
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.

Provide telephone and remote support for network-related problems.

Test repaired systems to ensure proper operation.

Maintain detailed logs of network activity and help desk tickets.

5. Documentation & Reporting
Document network configurations, installations, and maintenance activities.

Create and update user guides, procedures, and manuals.

Maintain accurate asset and license records.

Generate weekly network performance and activity reports.

6. Training & Collaboration
Train users on network applications, security protocols, and IT procedures.

Collaborate with internal teams to optimize infrastructure design and deployment.

Support business solutions teams in developing and testing infrastructure models.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in Windows client/server administration (on-premise and cloud).

  • Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN infrastructure, network protocols, and security.

  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving complex hardware/software/network issues.

  • Ability to document technical processes and communicate effectively with non-technical users.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft, Cisco, or similar) preferred.
