The primary function of a Home-Based Dispatcher is to oversee the logistical operation and ensure seamless integration with our network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate driver performance in relation to DOT regulations and facilitate customer requirements
  • Serve as a dedicated point of contact for drivers and management teams
  • Monitor daily driving logs to guarantee adherence to DOT regulations
  • Collaborate with senior terminal managers to ensure optimal truck and driver readiness
  • Develop daily plans balancing drivers' health and safety with customer needs
  • Coordinate and manage efficient load distribution
  • Implement cost-effective strategies
  • Combine shipments based on routes and timelines to minimize truck/driver requirements
  • Negotiate rates directly with vendors and customers
  • Identify special shipment needs and assist drivers in obtaining necessary documentation
Essential Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Logistics or transportation degree preferred
  • Fluent in English, with Spanish proficiency (desired)
  • Familiarity with DOT and OSHA compliance regulations
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Quick and thorough data entry/input background, including Excel and cloud-based systems
  • Clear English communication skills (accent acceptable if understandable)
  • Critical thinking and rapid response capabilities
  • Prior experience in dispatching roles
