Logistics Coordinator

This role involves coordinating various aspects of logistics operations to ensure timely arrival and departure of shipments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with carriers, preparing customs documentation, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shipment Tracking and Management: Monitor shipment levels across multiple locations to ensure timely arrival and departure.
  • Customs Documentation Coordination: Prepare and manage necessary customs documentation for international shipments.
  • Shipment Coordination: Oversee the daily operations of shipments, ensuring they meet deadlines and customer requirements.
  • Carrier Management: Manage relationships with carriers, including rate negotiations and compliance with service agreements.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure all logistics activities comply with international trade regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in freight forwarding, shipping line, or brokerage firms, either locally or internationally.
  • Familiarity with shipping documents (BOLs, AWBs, PKLs, invoices, etc.).
  • Detail-oriented with experience in data entry and data validation tasks.
  • Comfortable with modern software, technology, and computer systems.
  • Familiarity with Transport Management Systems (TMS), especially Cargowise or Magaya.
  • Graduate of Customs Administration or similar degree program.
  • Licensed customs broker.
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas clearly and concisely in English, both in speaking and writing.
  • Client management experience is a plus.
