Industrial Automation Specialist

We are seeking an expert in industrial automation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with designing and implementing secure network architectures and working with industrial control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and Maintain Secure Clusters: Design, implement, and maintain secure clusters for on-prem production environments.
  • Develop Secure Tunneling Solutions: Develop secure tunneling solutions for deployment instructions between network levels.
  • Establish Air Gap Transfer Strategies: Create air gap transfer strategies for code and artifacts.
  • Implement GitOps-Style Deployments: Implement Humanitec with ArgoCD for gitops-style deployments with appropriate on-prem networking constraints.
  • Create Staging Environments: Create staging environments that accurately mirror production on-prem systems in AWS.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity Teams: Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement defense-in-depth strategies.
  • Develop Change Management Processes: Develop robust change management processes for on-prem deployments.
  • Design Disaster Recovery Strategies: Design backup and disaster recovery strategies appropriate for each level.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Secure Network Architectures: Strong background in designing and implementing secure network architectures.
  • Secure Artifact Management: Experience with secure artifact management (JFrog Artifactory preferred).
  • On-Premise Limitations: Understanding of on-premise limitations (disconnected, latency, bandwidth constraints).
  • Manual Deployment Processes: Experience with manual deployment processes and change control.
  • vSphere and Virtualization: Familiarity with vSphere and virtualization.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Purdue Model and ISA-95 Standards: Understanding of the Purdue Model and ISA-95 standards.
  • Mining or Heavy Industry Experience: Experience with mining or heavy industry operational environments.
  • Industrial Control Systems and SCADA: Experience with industrial control systems and SCADA environments.
  • Redundant System Design: Knowledge of redundant system design for high availability.
  • Industrial Protocols: Understanding of industrial protocols (OPC, Modbus, etc.).
  • Container Platforms: OpenShift and EKS: Experience with container platforms (OpenShift and EKS).
  • Infrastructure: VMware vSphere and Docker Swarm: Familiarity with infrastructure (VMware vSphere and Docker Swarm).
  • Source Control: GitHub with Synchronization: Experience with source control (GitHub with synchronization).
  • Monitoring: Observability Tools: Knowledge of monitoring (observability tools).
  • Security: Air Gap Solutions, Secure Tunneling, RBAC: Understanding of security (air gap solutions, secure tunneling, RBAC).
