Accounting Officer Role

The Accounting Officer is a pivotal position within an organization, playing a crucial role in financial management. This individual is responsible for assisting in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities.

This position demands a high level of integrity, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpretation of financial data, identification of trends, and preparation of reports to support informed decision-making.
  • Participation in budgeting and forecasting activities, ensuring accurate and timely provision of financial information.
  • Maintenance and update of books of accounts (Journal, Ledger) in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Collection and calculation of employee work hours for efficient payroll processing.
  • Effective management of employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Monitoring of performance using quality monitoring data management systems for continuous improvement.
  • Entry of new employee data into the company database for centralized record-keeping.
  • Support to HR Manager in collecting data for performance management and improvement systems, facilitating strategic planning.
  • Implementation of regulatory compliance and reporting requirements, maintaining adherence to industry standards.
  • Development and documentation of company policies, providing clarity and guidance to employees.
  • Communication with employees regarding compensation, benefits, and deductions, ensuring transparency and understanding.
  • Distribution of payment statements, facilitating prompt payment processing.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Accounting Management, Business Administration, or equivalent field.
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in accounting-related roles, demonstrating a solid foundation in financial principles.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Payroll Accountant, showcasing expertise in payroll processing and management.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, including manual bookkeeping skills.
  • Familiarity with Labor Laws, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, enabling effective collaboration and time management.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, supporting efficient task execution and data management.
