Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tax Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our financial services department, you will be responsible for handling bookkeeping, tax return preparation, financial statements, and reconciliations while ensuring accuracy and compliance for global clients.

You will leverage accounting tools and processes to deliver exceptional financial solutions from the comfort of your home.

  • Bookkeeping duties using Xero
  • Preparation of Financial Statements
  • Preparation of Income Tax Returns
  • Preparation of Business Activity Statements
  • Reconciliations, journal entries, work paper preparation, spreadsheet analysis
  • Preparing letters and draft emails to and on behalf of client
  • Review of peer work to ensure accuracy and quality for client manager
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage financial transactions and maintain accurate records
  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role (Australian experience required)
  • Experience in Xero, XPM, Workpapers, and Spotlight is an advantage
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills
