Cloud Infrastructure Expert

Are you a skilled professional looking for a challenging role in cloud infrastructure design and management? We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team.

This is a unique opportunity to work on designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. You will deploy, manage, and optimize cloud services to ensure high availability, scalability, and security. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions using Azure, GCP, or AWS.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration changes.
  • Monitor, maintain, and optimize cloud environments for performance, availability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Implement cloud security best practices, including identity and RBAC access management, encryption, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Manage and configure cloud security tools and continuously monitor security findings and alerts generated.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid recovery.
  • Design and implement disaster recovery strategies for cloud-based systems; plan, coordinate, and execute DR drills to validate recovery procedures and system resilience.
  • Conduct capacity planning analyses to anticipate future cloud resource needs and ensure system scalability.
  • Evaluate existing processes and tools, identifying areas for improvement and automation; research and implement new technologies and best practices to enhance cloud infrastructure operational efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of total IT experience, including roles in systems administration, network engineering, or DevOps.
  • Proven experience of at least 3 years as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or a similar role, with a strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including services such as compute, storage, networking, and databases.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or PowerShell and experience with automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and communicate technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences.
