Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to fill the role of Tax Filing Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing various types of tax returns, including personal, corporate, sales tax, and payroll tax returns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Tax Returns: The successful candidate will prepare and file T1/1040, T2/1120, GST/HST/VAT, and payroll tax returns in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Analyze Financial Documents: They will organize and analyze financial documents, receipts, and statements to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Client Communication: The candidate will communicate effectively with clients to gather required information and answer tax-related questions.
  • Record Keeping: They will maintain and update tax filing records and documentation.
  • Industry Knowledge: The successful candidate will stay up-to-date on changes in tax legislation and compliance requirements.
Requirements:
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in tax preparation, preferably with personal or corporate returns.
  • Familiarity: Familiarity with CRA, IRS, or other tax authority systems and deadlines.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in tax preparation software, such as TaxCycle, Intuit ProFile, TurboTax, UltraTax, or Drake.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and client service abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ultra Tax Experience: Experience in Ultra Tax.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
