Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Tax Accountant to join our team in Australia. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with financial and management accounting reports, as well as Australian taxation and clients.

The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting clients with the preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, and other compliance jobs. They will also be expected to identify franking account issues, review client-prepared BAS/IAS, and resolve basic problems arising in client financial statements.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience with a Chartered Accounting Firm.
  • Experience with Australian accounting, taxation and clients
  • Expertise in preparing financial statements and annual tax returns for multiple clients
  • Expertise in preparing, reviewing and filing statutory monthly and quarterly returns.
  • Understanding of tax laws, state taxes and duties relating to resident taxpayers (eg CGT, GST, Land Tax, Payroll Tax, general income tax).
  • Comprehension of accounting and taxation concepts and a willingness to develop practical application of this knowledge.
