Financial Services Specialist

We are seeking a skilled financial services specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and providing support for financial reporting.

This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your expertise in accounting systems, invoicing, accounts payable, and payroll management to drive business success.

  • Create or maintain records of financial transactions for clients using various accounting systems.
  • Process invoicing and accounts receivable to ensure timely payment and efficient cash flow.
  • PAY bills, handle expense management software, and accounts payable to optimize company resources.
  • Manage payroll through a payroll service to streamline HR processes.
  • Handle other accounting entries and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide support for audits by external entities, prepare supporting schedules, gather information, and provide analysis as requested.
  • Compile reports to show statistics, such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to the operation of the business.
  • Report against metrics/budgets to inform business decisions.
  • Perform payroll and payroll tax-related returns to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepare a balance sheet, profit, and loss statement, and other reports to summarize the current and projected company financial position.
  • Verify contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepare reports to substantiate individual transactions before settlement.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in the related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of full charge bookkeeper/staff accountant experience including account reconciliation and work paper preparation experience.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online is required.
  • Experience with Bill.com is a plus.
  • Prior experience with manufacturing or construction is preferred.
  • Experience in general ledger through financial statements and online bill pay experience.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in a multi-client environment.
  • Strong organization, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude in data management, analytics, reporting preparation.
  • Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed.
  • Experience with NetSuite is preferred.
