Compliance Manager Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to lead our tax preparation function. This role will work directly with partners to oversee the preparation of tax returns.

  • Manage staff and review tax returns prepared by the team.
  • Prepare and review complex individual and business returns (1120, 1120s, 1065, not for profit, 1041s).
  • Assist staff with diagnosing issues in preparation in the software.
  • Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and oversight to junior team members.
  • Directly communicate with clients to obtain missing information and provide updates.
  • Able to respond to notices received from tax authorities.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Deep knowledge of US Federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience with U.S. Tax form preparation and reviews.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • Experience preparing returns in ProSeries, CCH, or other accounting software.
  • Ability to manage a team and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
