Job Description:

The Account Manager is responsible for recording and maintaining accurate financial transactions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This includes:

  • Purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices, payroll, and payments
  • Payroll reconciliations and year-end reporting
  • Recording financial data into general ledgers to produce balance sheets and income statements

As an Account Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Accounting team to maintain strong client relationships and ensure seamless financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

This role requires:

  • Performing reconciliations, month-end, and year-end close activities
  • Managing Dext, Uncat, QuickBooks Online (QBO), Xero, and related systems
  • Handling sales tax processing and filing
  • Processing payroll, including reconciliation, troubleshooting, and onboarding
  • Managing accounts receivable, including importing transactions from e-commerce and third-party applications
  • Completing monthly reconciliations of all bank, loan, and credit card statements
  • Creating and analyzing financial reports for review
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Conducting year-end reconciliations and processing 1099 forms

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of experience working with U.S. clients
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Comfortable with 3rd-party software applications
  • Experience in a remote work environment
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping, AP/AR, and payroll
  • Knowledge of reconciliations, month-end, and year-end close processes
  • Experience in sales tax and payroll processing
  • Managing e-commerce transactions & accounts receivable
  • Accounting system setup, cleanup, and conversion
  • Fixed asset posting, including creation, disposal, transfer, and depreciation
  • General Ledger journal entry processing
  • Balance sheet reconciliation & financial statement interpretation
  • Understanding of GAAP principles
