Job Role

We are seeking a skilled Application Support Specialist to join our team.

This role involves providing 2nd line support and maintaining 3rd party applications, ensuring 24/5.5 coverage. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing business-critical real-time trading systems, middle office systems, back office, and settlement systems.

  • Identify issues and potential problem areas in the above-mentioned systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents by interacting with internal IT support functions and external 3rd party vendors.
  • Manage incident resolution processes, provide service recovery, and communicate with clients effectively.
  • Evaluate compliance with departmental policies, such as change management, IT security standards, release management, and incident management.

The ideal candidate should possess experience of working in an ITIL environment and supporting production applications on Unix and Windows environments. Additionally, they should have extensive knowledge of Front Office Trading Applications, Middle Office, Back Office, and Settlements systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Flexible and professional under pressure with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of enterprise technologies and ability to develop new skills as required.
  • Excellent documentation skills, written and oral communication skills, and customer service focus.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Trading Systems, Middle Office applications, and Back Office / Settlement systems.
  • Experience of database interrogation and manipulation, FIX Protocol, and Compliance controls and exchange regulatory obligations.
