Job Overview

You will play a key role in bringing creative ideas to life, driving the development and promotion of titles. This position involves managing projects from concept to publication, collaborating with freelancers, and ensuring deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Manage project timelines, collaborate with creatives, and ensure timely completion.
  • Content Support: Review and provide feedback on drafts, maintain book-related files and documentation.
  • Marketing & Advertising Assistance: Support promotional efforts, including advertising, content preparation for listings, and outreach; help strategize and execute marketing campaigns across online platforms.
  • Publishing Support: Research best practices for self-publishing platforms, assist in formatting and preparing manuscripts for publication, and track royalties, sales, and promotional results as needed.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of one year experience in publishing, editorial support, or project coordination in a creative field (children's publishing is a plus).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating with creatives such as illustrators and writers.
  • A self-starter with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
  • Comfortable working independently in a startup environment.
  • Familiarity with children's book content and trends is a plus.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of publishing platforms like KDP or IngramSpark.
  • Experience with graphic design tools or basic book formatting.
  • Background in marketing or social media promotion for creative products.
