The Role of a Financial Specialist
About the Position:We are seeking an experienced financial specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing critical monthly balance sheets, and providing financial analysis that drives business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate financial records across all accounts (accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory, etc.)
- Perform monthly audits and reconciliations to ensure clean financial records and identify errors or inconsistencies
- Prepare accurate monthly balance sheets and comprehensive financial reports for management review
- Provide monthly financial analysis highlighting trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or growth
- 3-5 years of proven accounting experience with a strong understanding of GAAP principles
- Prior e-commerce client experience - experience working with online retail businesses is essential
- Solid grasp of inventory accounting, amortization, and cost recognition methodologies
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks preferred) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data into actionable business insights
- High attention to detail and unwavering commitment to accuracy in all financial work
- Independent work style - comfortable working autonomously and proactively solving problems
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Knowledge of Amazon FBA accounting and multi-channel e-commerce operations
- Experience with inventory management systems and cost accounting methodologies
- Track record of implementing process improvements in financial operations
