Equity Trader Role

We are seeking an experienced Equity Trader to join our team.

This role involves managing and executing trading orders of institutional, corporate and high net-worth individual clients. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

The Equity Trader will be responsible for:

  • Managing and/or executing trading orders accurately and efficiently;
  • Providing timely and accurate end-of-day confirmation to clients;
  • Assisting partner units or other concerned teams with accurate and complete information regarding client requests and complaints;
  • Participating actively in business-related associations and organizations to foster goodwill and create relationships;
  • Staying up-to-date on current events, including political, economic and listed company developments that may impact investment opportunities and risks;
  • Ensuring compliance to internal and external policies and regulations.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A college graduate degree in a four-year business course, preferably in Economics, Financial Management or Management Engineering;
  • At least two years' related experience and/or training in the trading business;
  • Excellent arithmetic / computational reasoning, deductive and inductive reasoning skills;
  • A sound knowledge of capital markets, including debt and equity markets locally and globally;
  • Good comprehension of financial accounts, economies and politics.
