Job Title: Accounting Assistant

This is a role that plays a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems.

Responsibilities:
  • We are looking for someone to perform bank reconciliations across multiple entities.
  • Candidate must be able to clear and resolve account discrepancies (weekly) in all entities.
  • They will investigate and reconcile monthly Direct Debit transactions.
  • The successful candidate will prepare monthly Business Activity Statements (BAS).
  • Journals entries need to be processed by the right candidate.
  • We require them to upload weekly, monthly, and fortnightly payroll journals.
  • Collaboration with Finance Operations stakeholders to resolve queries and discrepancies is a key part of this role.
  • Supporting internal and external audit processes as required is essential.
  • The ideal candidate will participate in business and system improvement initiatives, including automation efforts.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is necessary.
  • Experience supporting global markets (AU/US/EMEA/APAC) is highly desirable.
  • Bookkeeping or partial CPA/CA qualification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS tools is expected.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or similar accounting software is ideal.
