Home-Based Logistics Coordinator

As a vital member of our team, you will work as a full-time Home-Based Logistics Coordinator for a growing business based in the United States. This role offers an incredible opportunity to learn new skills and demonstrate your existing expertise.

Responsibilities include closely following instructions and processes outlined by our clients, demonstrating flexibility in daily tasks, and possessing strong attention to detail. You will also need to be able to work well with coworkers and have a desire to learn new work skills, including excellent organizational and coordination abilities. Above-average typing and data entry skills are a must for this position.

Some key responsibilities include ensuring drivers maintain compliance with DOT regulations and supporting customer requirements, serving as a reliable point of contact for drivers and management, and monitoring daily driving logs to ensure compliance with DOT. Additionally, you will assist Deputy Terminal Manager in ensuring truck and driver readiness, develop daily plans to balance the drivers' health and safety with customer requirements, coordinate and manage efficient loads, implement cost management programs, combine shipments based on their routes and timeline to minimize truck/driver requirements, negotiate rates directly with vendors and customers, identify special needs of shipment and help drivers obtain necessary documents, and perform other duties as assigned.

In terms of qualifications, we are seeking candidates who hold a high school degree or equivalent, preferably with a background in logistics or transportation. Proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, as is familiarity with DOT and OSHA compliance regulations. Quick and thorough data entry/input skills, including experience with Excel and OneDrive, are also essential. Clear English speaking skills are a must, as is critical thinking and rapid responsiveness. Prior dispatcher experience is beneficial but not required.
