AR Specialist Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable professional with experience in the wholesale and retail industry to manage invoicing, payment collection, customer account reconciliation, and collect payments from retail companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate and send accurate invoices based on sales orders, purchase orders, and delivery confirmations.
  • Post payments and apply them to customer accounts.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on past due invoices.
  • Communicate with customers regarding billing inquiries, discrepancies, and payment status.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment variances or short-pays.
  • Coordinate with sales and shipping departments to validate order completion and billing accuracy.
  • Maintain and update customer account records in the accounting system.
  • Assist with credit checks and establish customer credit limits in coordination with management.
  • Prepare AR reports and metrics for internal review and forecasting.
