IT Provisioning Engineer Job Description

As an IT Provisioning Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for the onboarding of new clients and services. Onboarding includes documentation, assessing the client environment, and deploying tools.

This role is the advance party for the technical team in any new client experience, providing a best-in-class white glove service while performing reconnaissance to ensure a long-lasting client relationship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the implementation of our client onboarding program
    • Documentation: Network, hardware, credentials, applications, and SaaS platforms (Azure, 365, etc.)
    • Assessing Client Environment: Old hardware, security risks, and areas of improvement
    • Deploying Tools: Monitoring, security services, and self-service
  • Exceptional communication with all parties
    • Clients
    • Project Manager
    • Sales
    • Client Services

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of IT experience
    • 2+ years of work experience with start-to-finish deployment of IT solutions preferred
    • MSP experience is preferred but not required
    • Onboarding-specific experience desirable
  • Experience with all current Windows operating systems
  • Active Directory and Group Policy understanding
  • 365 knowledge specific to administration
  • Firewall assessment and understanding (Meraki, SonicWALL, Cisco, Fortinet)
  • Understanding of networking concepts (routing, switching, VLANs)
  • VMware experience is a plus
  • Apple product experience is a plus
