Financial Accountant Job Description

This is a critical role for an experienced Financial Accountant who can manage daily accounting operations, maintain financial accuracy and compliance, and ensure efficient processes across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of accounting experience, including AP, payroll, and financial reporting. They will also have a strong understanding of IFRS & local accounting standards, as well as experience with Xero, NetSuite, or similar accounting software.

We are seeking someone with advanced Excel skills and exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing daily AP, AR, general ledger, and bank reconciliations across international entities, as well as processing invoices, managing payments, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

You will also be involved in employee reimbursements, verifying and processing claims while ensuring policy compliance, and assisting in preparing P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

This is a mid-senior level position that requires strong communication and stakeholder management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic global team.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
  • Experience with both Australian and US accounting standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
