Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled maintenance professional to join our team as a Technical Apprentice. As a key member of our Engineering and Technical Services group, you will be responsible for maintaining buildings, industrial systems, and equipment on an ongoing basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their skills and knowledge in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • You will receive training from experienced engineers in proper job safety and repair procedures.
  • You will observe engineers while they perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed building systems, equipment, and facilities.
  • You will assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • You will work with management to ensure energy management by taking measures to verify that all systems are operating in the most efficient manner.
  • You will inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • You will follow established procedures in the performance of repetitive tasks or job activities.
Requirements
  • You must have a high school diploma, GED, or currently be enrolled in a 2 or 4-year college program or technical school.
  • You must meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • You must be able to develop skills to perform basic activities in your job.
  • You must be able to effectively communicate.
  • You must have familiarity with Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • You must have organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
