Financial Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Leader to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, reporting, and analysis, with the ability to drive financial strategy and provide executive-level insights to support business growth and decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning & Analysis
    • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans to drive business growth and profitability
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to executive leadership
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
    • Comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
    • Maintain robust internal controls and ensure SOX compliance (if applicable)
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead and mentor finance team members, fostering professional growth and development
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, marketing, and executive teams
    • Provide financial training and support to non-finance departments
    Requirements
    Education & Certifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
    • CPA certification strongly preferred
    • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or MBA preferred
    Experience
    • Minimum 7-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
    • At least 3-5 years in a Controller or senior financial management role
    • Experience in e-commerce, retail, or inventory-based businesses strongly preferred
    • Public accounting experience with Big 4 or mid-tier firms is a plus
    Technical Skills
    • Advanced expertise in Excel, Google Sheets, and financial modeling
    • Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise, SAP, etc.)
    • Experience with e-commerce platforms and inventory management systems
    • Strong understanding of business intelligence and reporting tools
    Core Competencies
    • Deep understanding of US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles
    • Comprehensive knowledge of US tax system, regulations, and reporting deadlines
    • Proven track record of successful month-end and year-end close processes
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
    • Experience in process improvement and change management
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive-level reporting
    Work Requirements
    • Must align with Central Time business hours for collaboration with US-based team
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment with minimal supervision
    • Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
