Job Summary

An IT Operations Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux and Windows environments, with expertise in virtualization technologies such as VMWare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain our infrastructure, ensuring high availability and resilience patterns.
  • Develop and run applications in the cloud, utilizing platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Containerize and orchestrate applications using Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and microservices.
  • Continuously integrate and deploy (CI/CD) using tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Ansible.
  • Administer and query SQL databases, and work with aggregated logs using ELK.
  • Configure networks, including load balancing and firewalls, and work with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficient in Linux and Windows environments.
  • Expertise in virtualization technologies such as VMWare.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and microservices.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Ansible.
  • Ability to administer and query SQL databases.
  • Knowledge of network configurations, including load balancing and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
