Job Summary

A Local Communications Network Specialist is required to assess, configure and maintain local communications networks across various project sites nationwide.

This role involves integrating local communication components with surveillance systems, including radar, AIS, EO/IR and COP platforms. The specialist will also provide input for equipment procurement, installation and sustainment planning.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments, configuration and ongoing maintenance of local communications networks.
  • Integrate LCN components with surveillance systems.
  • Collaborate with ICT/OT, HF/VHF and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure, stable and efficient communications.
  • Contribute to the planning and recommendation of equipment procurement, installation and long-term sustainment.
  • Provide training and technical guidance on LCN operations, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.

Qualifications include a degree in telecommunications, electronics or a related field, as well as over 5 years of direct experience in designing, installing and maintaining Local Communication Networks (LCNs). Familiarity with maritime and coastal surveillance communications infrastructure is also required.
