Job Description

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting financial reporting. This role will also handle payroll management.

  • Create or maintain records of financial transactions using various accounting systems
  • Process invoicing and accounts receivable
  • Pay bills, handle expense management software and accounts payable
  • Manage payroll through a payroll service
  • Handle other accounting entries and transactions
Essential Functions

The following are the key tasks and responsibilities associated with this role:

  1. Create or maintain records of financial transactions for clients
  2. Process invoicing and accounts receivable
  3. Pay bills, handle expense management software and accounts payable
  4. Manage payroll through a payroll service
  5. Handle other accounting entries and transactions
  6. Handle daily bookkeeping, reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
  7. Reconcile and balance accounts, verify, allocate, and post details of business transactions to the accounting system
  8. Provide support for audits by external entities, prepare supporting schedules, gather information, and provide analysis as requested
  9. Compile reports to show statistics, such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to the operation of the business
Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in the related field
  • 5+ years of full charge bookkeeper/staff accountant experience including account reconciliation and work paper preparation experience
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online is required
  • Prior experience with manufacturing or construction is preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to function in an autonomous environment
