Staff Accountant Role

A highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant is required to join our finance team.


About the Job:

This position involves processing a high volume of vendor invoices, maintaining General Ledger records, and preparing financial statements. The ideal candidate will have an accounting degree, experience with GLs, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and record vendor invoices accurately.
  • Maintain accurate General Ledger records.
  • Prepare periodic financial statements.
  • Analyze financial information to prepare reports and statements.
  • Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Lead or assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Manage accruals and prepayments for expenses incurred but not yet paid or paid in advance.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary information.
  • Conduct variance analysis to provide insights into financial performance.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Experience with General Ledgers.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

This role operates in a professional office environment, requiring long periods of sitting/standing while using a computer and telephone headset. Regularly requires operating a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer.
