Product Data Manager

The Product Data Manager will oversee the creation and maintenance of product specifications, bills of material, and key attributes in a product lifecycle management (PLM) system. This role will ensure accurate and up-to-date product information across multiple channels.

Responsibilities

  1. Product Specification Ownership
    • Develop and maintain parent-level product specifications, purchasing stock-keeping units, bills of material, and key attributes in the PLM system.
    • Track revisions with full versioning logic across new product development, compliance upgrades, and sustaining changes.
  2. Data Quality and Calendar Management
    • Ensure global data standards and field-level validation rules; audit for missing, stale, or duplicated entries.
    • Support seasonal update cycles, specification finalization, and sample-triggered lock dates.
  3. Cross-Functional Support
    • Collaborate with product development, merchandise planning, compliance, quality, sourcing, and 3PL teams to ensure all product records meet commercialization and certification requirements.
    • Join milestone and handoff meetings to capture change requests and align dependencies.
  4. System Administration and Training
    • Act as the Asia-based super user: handle tickets, train new users, document workflows, and test enhancements.
    • Partner with the US team on roadmap feedback, field structure upgrades, and audit history improvements.

Requirements

  1. Experience: 3–5 years in product operations, ideally in e-commerce or consumer goods.
  2. Product Operations Expertise: Hands-on experience with PLM platforms; strong grasp of product hierarchy, bills of material, and revision management.
  3. Detail-Oriented: Able to manage hundreds of stock-keeping units with high precision and clear documentation trails.
  4. Excel and Systems: Strong Excel skills (lookup logic, data cleaning), familiarity with NetSuite or ERP platforms a plus.
  5. Time Zone Fit: Based remotely, able to overlap with US east coast mornings for 3–4 hours per day.
  6. Mindset: Structured, systems-driven, highly organized, and excited to help build from the ground up.

This is a contracted fully remote position.
