Project Management Specialist

The Project Management Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of infrastructure and environmental projects. This position involves providing technical expertise and project management services to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide project management services from initiation to closure for infrastructure and environmental projects, including new construction, recapitalization, and environmental assessment and remediation.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships within the organization and with stakeholders to ensure timely decision making.
  • Coordinate stakeholder communications and facilitate decision making within organizations through the development of business case analysis, functional space programming, and other documentation.
  • Participate in procurement planning and prepare tender documents.
  • Act as the representative of the project director or project manager within delegated signing authority.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum: College diploma in engineering, architecture, or related field with four years' relevant experience, or equivalent.
  • Preferred: University degree in one of the above fields and/or additional training in project management.
  • Best practices, methods, trends, and legislation in real property, environmental, and construction services.
  • Client-partner project management policies and procedures.
  • Project and risk management principles.

Requirements and Compliance

To be eligible for this position, you must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada. A minimum reliability security status clearance is required, and some roles may require secret security status clearance.

DCC is responsible for the personnel security clearance process. To be eligible for a reliability clearance, you must have five years of verifiable background information. For a secret clearance, you must have 10 years of verifiable background information.
