Job Summary

The SharePoint Developer plays a pivotal role in shaping the digital landscape of an organisation. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen to configure, customise and maintain SharePoint Online sites.

This position contributes to developing AI-driven search and FAQ tools, enhancing knowledge management and facilitating informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and Customise SharePoint Sites: Establish secure and user-friendly document libraries, team sites and communication sites that comply with governance standards.
  • Develop Page Layouts and Web Parts: Design and implement page layouts, web parts and workflows that support business processes, boosting productivity and efficiency.
  • Implement User Permissions and Content Governance: Manage user permissions, access levels and content governance to ensure consistent structure and usability.
  • Integrate Power Automate and Power Apps: Collaborate with business units to integrate Power Automate and Power Apps, automating workflows and streamlining operations.
  • Support AI-Enabled Document Retrieval: Support AI-enabled document retrieval, leveraging Copilot integration for FAQs and product manuals, and provide technical guidance to users.
Qualifications
  • A tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science or related field is preferred.
  • 5 years of proven experience configuring and managing SharePoint Online is required.
  • Strong knowledge of site structure, lists, libraries and permissions is essential.
  • Experience with setting up SharePoint applications is necessary.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Power Automate, Power Apps, Teams) is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS or JavaScript for customisation is advantageous.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills are vital.
  • Attention to detail with focus on usability and governance is crucial.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is essential.
