You will join a small team responsible for the core infrastructure of a high-growth, global SaaS platform. You will manage database clusters, load balancers, and Linux/Azure systems that power the entire platform.

Your work directly impacts the platform's speed, reliability, and scalability. Every decision you make matters, and your expertise will shape the foundation of a system available 24/7 across multiple regions without fail.

This role is 100% remote with no travel to customer locations.

  • Monitor and optimize MariaDB clusters and MaxScale load balancers for high availability.
  • Administer Ubuntu Linux servers on Azure VMs, including patching, tuning, and automation.
  • Manage and optimize Azure resources including Traffic Manager, load balancers, and networking.

You bring:

  • 3+ years as a MySQL or Maria DBA (cloud or hybrid).
  • Strong skills in MariaDB clustering and replication preferred but not required.
  • Hands-on Linux (Ubuntu) and Azure administration experience.
  • Performance tuning, backup, and disaster recovery know-how.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform, scripting).
  • Experience with security compliance in regulated environments (e.g., SOX, HIPAA).
  • Knowledge of large-scale, high-availability systems.
