Database Solutions Architect

The role of Database Solution Specialist involves designing, developing, and maintaining databases for a fast-growing SaaS company. This entails working with complex schemas, resolving customer-specific data needs, and creating internal tooling to power a modern SaaS platform.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement scalable database solutions using AWS RDS PostgreSQL and MariaDB environments
- Develop and optimize SQL scripts to meet customer data requests and ad hoc reporting needs
- Maintain and improve the performance of existing database infrastructure via AWS Aurora
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to scope and fulfill data-related needs
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MariaDB in AWS RDS environments
- Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and analyzing performance
- Familiarity with Java-based ORMs and their impact on schema design
A self-driven, detail-oriented mindset with a passion for scalable data solutions is essential for this role. Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python) and familiarity with AWS CLI or SDKs for managing RDS backups, parameters, and logs are also desirable.
