Financial Administrator Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Administrator to support our business in Melbourne, Australia.

The ideal candidate will have strong financial experience, knowledge of Xero accounting software, and understanding of Australian accounting practices.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily financial transactions, data entry, and reconciliations using Xero.
  • Process invoices, receipts, supplier payments, and subcontractor claims efficiently.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and ledgers accurately.
  • Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS), payroll, and superannuation contributions on time.
  • Track project expenses and assist with job costing for optimal profitability.
  • Maintain up-to-date, accurate financial records for informed decision-making.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial reporting for stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Financial Administrator or Bookkeeper, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Xero and related accounting tools for efficient data management.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting practices, GST, and BAS regulations.
  • Experience in handling payroll and superannuation administration.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills for meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
