Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist

Job Description:

This role is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the financial planning and analysis of our clients. The Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist will be responsible for preparing and processing monthly budget review reports, assisting in data gathering, developing, and consolidating annual and mid-year budgets and forecasts, collaborating with cost center managers.

  • Budget Review: Prepare and process cost center managers' monthly budget to actual review reports.
  • Budget Management: Assist in data gathering, developing, and consolidating annual and mid-year budgets and forecasts, collaborating with cost center managers.
  • Profit & Loss Forecast: Support near- and long-term P&L forecast. Provide additional support in preparing weekly and 12-month rolling cash forecasts.
  • Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies between actual and budgeted figures. Assist in preparing management reports related to monthly variance reports and other components of the monthly financial package.
  • Cost Reduction: Aid with ongoing regular financial budget/forecast reviews and revisions focusing on cost reduction. Participate in revenue and cost forecasting, analyzing the economic implications of operational drivers, and recommend actions based on findings.
  • Administrative Assistance: Support the FP&A team in conducting financial reviews, presentations, and discussions with cost center managers and senior leadership.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, financial management, or a related field.
  • Experience: One (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis or equivalent.
  • Client facing experience
  • Language Proficiency: Strong verbal, written, and English communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in most Microsoft Office Applications, databases, and accounting software.
  • Industry-Specific Software/Knowledge:
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc. Knowledgeable using accounting software and tools, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or other relevant software.
