Job Profile: Junior Accounting Manager

The key responsibilities of the Junior Accounting Manager position include overseeing financial operations, managing accounting teams and processes, ensuring financial accuracy, preparing financial reports, and implementing process improvements.

Accounting Responsibilities
  • Manages all daily accounting functions, including expenses, fixed assets, leasing, intercompany transactions, and financial reporting.
  • Supervises accounting activities for subsidiaries and works directly with third-party accounting firms to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
  • Reviews and analyzes intercompany accounts, posts subsidiary trial balances, and performs variance analysis to ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Prepares monthly and year-end financial reports, ensures compliance with regulations, and manages audits and filings for subsidiaries.
  • Leads continuous improvement efforts by identifying and implementing solutions to enhance accounting processes and provides support for various ad hoc projects.
Requirements

The successful candidate for the Junior Accounting Manager role should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an advanced degree is highly recommended.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably within a BPO or service company, and a background with an international company is a plus.
  • Must have a strong grasp of US GAAP, financial controls, and working knowledge of forecasting and financial reports.
  • Needs to be able to work effectively with all levels of management and motivate others outside of their direct control.
  • Possesses strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication abilities and a flexible attitude towards changing priorities.
