At Metrobank, we're on the lookout for a Business Development Specialist who can help us forge lasting relationships with our Japanese corporate clients.

As part of our team, you'll be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, while also managing and growing our existing portfolio of clients.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for these clients, understanding their financial needs and providing tailored solutions that encompass a wide range of banking products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate deep and meaningful relationships with key decision-makers within Japanese corporations, earning trust and building long-term partnerships
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding your portfolio and contributing to the Bank's success
  • Develop expertise in analyzing financial performance, assessing credit worthiness, and structuring innovative financing solutions
  • Gain comprehensive understanding of corporate banking products and services
  • Partner with colleagues across different departments to identify opportunities to cross-sell products and deliver holistic solutions to clients
Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in business development and relationship management
  • Strong background in credit evaluation and financial analysis
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, and customer service with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels
  • Proven ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities, negotiate effectively, and close deals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to assess complex situations and develop creative solutions
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different units and functions to deliver results
